Earth has plenty of natural disasters and tragedies;
we have tornadoes that rip up the Midwest yearly, hurricanes that
flatten and drown cities, and volcanic eruptions that evacuate entire
island nations. But the rest of the solar system is a much harsher
place, with disasters that would end life as we know it if they happened here.

wrong. These 20 cases are all common misconceptions that continue to be
bandied about, despite having been proved wrong over and over - and no
matter how many times we point them out, people still believe them.

10 Most Disgusting Images Of Food That You’ll See Today
by chris
These days, everything we use has both camera functionality and
internet access. Being the forward facing society that we are, people
use that technology to do the most important things that we can think
of. For the sake of the children of the future, we’re making the most
vigilant effort to document literally everything we eat. Much like
any other form of journalism, both the beautiful and grotesque come to
the surface. I know what you’re thinking, “how can food be grotesque?!?”
and that obviously means that you haven’t been introduced to “Someone Ate This” a Tumblr blog focusing on the most disgusting food photographs taken by the amateur documentarians of our time.
If you don’t believe me, check out this small sample of travesties that I found on the blog:
5 Weird Religious Beliefs
Fall of Mankind
In Christianity this term is referred to Adam’s and Eve’s loss of
innocence after disobeying God’s instruction in Garden of Eden. Most
Christian denominations believe that the fall corrupted the entire
natural world, including human nature, causing people to be born into
original sin, a state from which they cannot attain eternal life without
the gracious intervention of God. When God created Adam and Eve, he
originally made them sinless, and he intended for them to remain that
way. But the eating of the forbidden fruit somehow transformed human
nature. Some Christians believe that our natural tendency to sin is
transmitted from generation to generation by male semen.

It is scary when you hear the spirits and it is scarier when you get to see the events come true! |
This Oklahoma
City building
was blown away by terrorists just a few minutes after the prediction by Tana
Hoy, a natural-born psychic. In 1995, Hoy was doing a live radio program in Fayetteville, NC when he
predicted that a deadly terrorist attack will occur at the Alfred P. Murrah Federal
Building. Just 90 minutes
later, a tragedy struck the building in what is known to be the second worst
terrorist attack (on US Soil) to 9-11.
The Automotive Woman Theory

I had an intriguing conversation with a friend of mine the other night. We were just going back and forth quoting Sports Night and I made the comment that Jeremy (played by Joshua Malina) was way out of his league dating Natalie. Not only that, but when he and Natalie break up he dates a freaking porn star who ... wait for it ..... LIKES SPORTS! Jeremy is a computer, math guy who also has a love for sports. He's not a terribly good-looking guy and tends to be a little spazzy. So, I feel vindicated when I say that he was out of his league.

When Translations Go Wrong
“Unsatisfactory” is the word that best describes the
contemporary debate over globalization. There seems to be a consensus that
globalization – whether economic, political, cultural, or environmental – is
defined by increasing levels of interdependence over vast distances. And
language barriers of different countries widen this gap even further. Many
companies made attempts to bridge this gap of language through translations
which turned out to be funny. Let’s have a look:
