Foster+Partners won the design for the new Kuwait International Airport . Based on technical and financial reports, the Ministry of Public Works in Kuwait chose this design to support the State of Kuwait’s policy in transforming Kuwait into a financial and economic center. It is going to increase the airport’s capacity to 20 million passengers per year.

“Kuwait International Airport will be an iconic new gateway to the State of Kuwait, with a design that is rooted in a sense of place, responsive to the climate and inspired by local materials and architectural traditions. Designed to increase the airport’s capacity to 20 million passengers per year. The strategic aims of the project are matched by a state-of-the-art terminal building, providing passengers with the highest levels of comfort and operational efficiency and latest technology. Through it’s newest design approach and technical considerations, this project aims to support the State’s policy in transforming Kuwait into a financial and economic center.

Kuwait has long been regarded as a model of modernity and prosperity in the Gulf, as a result of the state’s thriving finance, petro-chemical and investment industries and international trade links. The design of Kuwait International Airport will be a new symbol of contemporary Kuwait, resonating with its rich cultural legacy – the graceful simplicity of the emblematic three-winged form ensures that the experience for visitors will be as memorable from the air as from the ground.” by Foster+Partners

Our doors are open to every international firm. Any office willing to work with the ministry can simply send us their portfolio then we will study their work.
