How does throwing paint all over a 2015 Ferrari California T
sound? Worse than running a marathon with meatloaf, right? But lo and behold,
in the hands of artist Fabian Oefner, it actually turned out to be 50
shades of great.
Oefner put the already dazzling car in a darkened wind
tunnel and sprayed it down with various colors of UV paint, yielding a
mesmerizing array of glow-in-the-dark visuals that will make you wish you had
your own such setup for your mildewy bathroom. His level of TLC was quite high
here, as he even created a set of pipes to feed different colors of paint into
the 150-mph gusts.
The key in the entire project was to keep things looking as
organic as possible. “I didn’t want to control it,” said Oefner. “It had to be
an organic process.”
