10 Good Movies Ruined By Bad Endings

Whether writing a movie, TV series, novel, or any other form of storytelling, one fact rises above all: endings are hard. The sentiment is proven on a yearly basis, as countless films deliver an intriguing premise, compelling action, or powerful messages, only to fumble with the closing act. Sometimes, the film’s final impact can be so poorly executed, it leaves audiences wondering whether the film that preceded it was even worth the trouble. It’s rare that a film’s finale can be so poorly handled, it negates what the movie did right up to that point, but it’s just as unfortunate to realize that the characters, the conflict, and the plot in its entirety were all building to an ending that was doomed to fall short from the very start. Our list of 10 Good Movies Ruined By Terrible Endings shows that strong films can still succeed despite a flawed climax, but in our opinion, they would be even more beloved if their conclusions were just as flawless. Needless to say, SPOILERS abound, so read at your own risk.

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Forty-six years ago Ivan Schneider, successful Manhattan lawyer, bought himself the Jaguar convertible that would feature in a most unusual tale of unrequited love. It was the first (and "prettiest") of many luxury cars he would own, his companion on fast drives - and the only one that was ever stolen. Forty-six years later, a U.S. Customs and Border Patrol analyst running a routine export check through a stolen car database came up with a hit. The 1967 Jaguar XKE was hot.

1. The Australian woman who killed her ex-husband and served him as dinner for his kids
The first Australian woman to be sentenced to a natural life term without parole, Katherine Knight had a history of violence in relationships. She mashed the dentures of one of her ex-husbands and slashed the throat of another husband's eight-week-old puppy before his eyes. A heated relationship with John Charles Thomas Price became public knowledge with an "Apprehended Violence Order" that Price had filed against Knight. She stabbed Mr. Price 37 times with a butcher's knife before skinning him and hanging his hide from a meat hook in their lounge room back in 2000. She then decapitated him and put his head in a pot on the stove, baked flesh from his buttocks, and cooked vegetables and gravy as side dishes to serve to Mr. Price's children. Thankfully, police found the macabre dinner before the children arrived home.

11 Heroic Comic Book Characters More Powerful Than Superman

First things first; I’m a huge Superman fan and a huge fan of comics in general, so this is in no way an attempt to sully the character – it is merely an attempt to deal in facts and shed some light on a myth…
“What is that myth?” I hear you ask; All too often I see people saying “no one is more powerful than Superman” – and that simply isn’t true – so I’m going to point out a few characters of the heroic variety who would beat Superman (utilising consistent feats of power as actual evidence) in a straight up fight, if both characters were going all out to win, without any outside interference or extenuating circumstances (note; there are countless numbers of villains more powerful than him – Thanos, Surtur, Pre-Crisis Darkseid, Pre-Crisis Validus, Dormammu etc to name a few – but finding heroes who are more powerful than him is indeed a little bit more difficult).
I’m prepared for the fact that there will be a lot of disagreement from hardcore fans of the character who simply don’t like their favourite hero losing, but part of being a fan of the character is knowing everything about him or her – including their limitations – so do be open-minded please! On that note, using actual evidence from comic books i.e. mentioning actual ways in which said characters are more powerful than the man of steel by way of feats of power that they’ve actually demonstrated, here are eleven heroic comic book characters who are more powerful than Superman (in no particular order, as the power levels of these guys vary massively – they’re just all more powerful than Supes)…

It’s been a looong time since I posted a Blu-Ray case design (October 12th!), apologies for that. There was once a time this blog was quite popular for those. I chalk it up to not really buying packaged media anymore.
This is a case designed to hold a plethora of Marvel films that constitute The Avengers, both the team and their respective solo outings. It is based on the Helicarrier, which is the Avengers and SHIELD’s flying fortress (I’m sure you knew that).
