Next time you're out give one of these places a try
Yeast Bistronomy gives diners an authentic French bistro experience.
Food has always been a big part of the KL culture, but it seems that in the past few months there have been more and more places sprouting up offering delectable options. We’ve decided to narrow the list down the three we think are worth trying.

Just Heavenly Cafe
The famous cake guys, Nigel Skelchy and Allen Yap have finally opened up a cafe serving more than just heavenly desserts. They’ve put just as much love and care into their unique dishes as they have in the cakes they’ve been whipping up for years. The food here is a unique fusion blend of hearty flavours. If you’re looking for something light opt for the detox salad which features quinoa tossed with tomatoes, Greek yoghurt, and some extra virgin olive oil. The crab tart here is a delicious concoction with creamy crab meat in a laksa inspired custard in a flaky pastry shell. For dessert, the favourite is the key lime pie with a buttery crust and a tart zesty filling. The food at Just Heavenly Cafe inspires a healthy appetite.

Yeast Bistronomy
For an authentic French bistro experience, Yeast Bistronomy is the place to try. Here they offer classic French artisanal breads, tarts and pastries and their breads are made using their own natural starters. The concept combines an informal etiquette with Bistro decor serving quality cuisine and a touch of gastronomical audacity. For a touch of indulgence try the foie gras with a mango and ginger reduction giving it a sweet zing. The Farfalle with braised beef short ribs and sage brown butter is a delight and the staple duck confit is fall apart tender. After your meal, you’ll want to pick up a few loaves of bread from the boulangerie to enjoy at home.

Nosh
A simple taste of the food at Nosh and it’s easy to see that passion is what fuels this new addition to the Bangsar stretch. Owners Ann Lee and Judith Sakata are seasoned pros who have sampled some of the world’s finest food and have designed the menu around their experiences. Desserts here are incredible and the must-try dish is their vanilla bean pannacotta. It’s smooth and rich served with a cherry jubilee and chocolate sauce. If it’s something savoury you’re after we suggest going for the aglio olio with smoked duck and gorgonzola or for a brunch option sample the potato rosti with smoked salmon, dill cream and lemon. With all the buzz around town, Nosh is set to be one of the popular cafes in KL.
