Orchids are not cheap, depending on which one you get the price range is huge, however, I never though I would find one that is at a price tag of $200,000. In 2005 a group of Chinese scientists did agricultural research to grow a very rare unique species of this beautiful flower. Not only is this flower expensive because it was man made, but also because it takes about four or five years to bloom.
p/s : Do any readers out there knew the species of orchid shown in the picture above?

Lady's slipper orchids are the orchids in the subfamily Cypripedioidea, which includes the genera Cypripedium, Mexipedium, Paphiopedilum, Phragmipedium and Selenipedium..... and im just guessing, beautiful, i want one now...thankx...lori

Sorry, I am not sure of the name myself but if Ms Lori (above) is correct, then it would be the Lady's Slipper Orchid - considered very rare and was once thought to have become extinct towards the end of the First World War. It was then rediscovered in 1930 at a site in the Dales which remains secret.
