The Obedient Wife
There was a man, who had worked all his life, had saved all of his money, and was a real miser when it came to his money. Just before he died, he said to his wife... 'When I die, I want you to take all my money and put it in the casket with me. I want to take my money to the afterlife with me.'
And so he got his wife to promise him, with all of her heart, that when he died, she would put all of the money into the casket with him.

The Mechanic And The Heart Surgeon
A mechanic was removing the cylinder heads from the motor of a car when he spotted the famous heart surgeon in his shop, who was standing off to the side, waiting for the service manager to come to take a look at his car.
The mechanic shouted across the garage," Hello Doctor!! Please come over here for a minute."

Ephemicropolis
An artist has created an entire replica city from tiny stacks of STAPLES.
Peter Root used 100,000 of the tiny metal pieces of stationary to painstakingly build the mini metropolis. The six-metre by three-metre work - called Ephemicropolis - took the part-time lecturer 40 HOURS to put together. And he said having a steady hand was needed to complete the mock city which is on display on the floor of the Northern Trust atrium in Guernsey.
Mr Root, from Guernsey, said: "As the stacks are free-standing and are tessellated very close together, the obvious challenge was not to knock them over. I think there is a beauty in making something that requires so much precision, care, time and effort, yet is destined to last for only a short period of time.

Americanization
Americanization? What's that? Well, its simply speaking up like Americans do... and they are different from the British. Let's take a look:
The telephone is never "engaged", it's always "busy".
You don't "disconnect" a phone, you simply "hang-up".
You never "mess-up" things, you only "screw them up".
You never have a "residence" telephone number, you have a "home" number.

It is a 99.95% challenge that u will have a wrong answer to the question asked in the passage...
Once there was a loving couple travelling in a bus in a mountainous area. They decided to get down at some place.
After the couple got down at some place the bus moved on. As the bus moved on, a huge rock fell on the bus from the mountain and crushed the bus to crumbs. Everybody on board was killed. The couple upon seeing that, said, "We wish we were on that bus"
Why do u think they said that?
Bizarre Custom
Women of the Apatani Tribe, in India’s Apatani plateau, are famous for the bizarre nose plugs they’ve been wearing since times long passed.
The Apatani, or Tani, are a tribal group of about 60,000 members, often praised for their extremely efficient agriculture, performed without animals or machinery. They have no written record of their history, and traditions are passed down orally, from generation to generation.

World's Hardest Tree To Climb
I remember reading an article on Environmental Graffiti, a few months ago, about the thorniest trees on Earth. The photos were really impressive, considering I had no idea such trees even existed, but I felt there wasn't really enough information about these amazing species of trees. Well, I took it upon myself to search around and came up with seven bad-ass trees you couldn't even hope to climb without some serious protective gear.

The Swimming Orangutan
King of the swimmers: How orangutan Suryia loves a summer dip with his trainer
By Daily Mail Reporter
Last updated at 3:31 PM on 25th June 2010
When people talk about getting an all-over tan for summer, they're not usually talking about getting an all-over orangutan. But 30-year-old Moksha Bybee has the most unusual of swimming partners - a seven-year-old urangutan who clings to her as she dives beneath the surface.
The jungle-dwelling creatures are not known for their love of the water, but Suryia appears to have permanently swapped tree trunks for swimming trunks.

Inventions That Will Eventually Doom Humanity
CFCs, leaded gasoline, alcohol, gunpowder and even tobacco are a few among the host of inventions that probably did (and in some cases are still ‘doing’) more harm than good but to err is human and it is only a matter of time before something new is invented that is the mother of all previous ‘bad’ inventions that plunges the world into cataclysmic times. Here are some inventions that might just do that.
Good enough an idea to revolutionize Geothermal Engineering but what this invention brings with it is a host of possible disaster like volcanic eruptions, searing magma, earthquakes and crustal instability. And since, there are a large number of variables involved when dealing with geotechnical and geothermal problems it might not be the safest idea to just drill through the earth right now.
No 5. Flame Drills
Jared Potter has recently developed a pair of flame drills that operate at temperatures of 3200 and 7200 degrees, respectively, which is hot enough to burn anything that comes its way. The ultra hot drills are capable of boring through the Earth’s crust without ever actually touching the rock itself which essentially eliminates the need for replacement drill bits, equipment maintenance and rock cooties.Good enough an idea to revolutionize Geothermal Engineering but what this invention brings with it is a host of possible disaster like volcanic eruptions, searing magma, earthquakes and crustal instability. Top 10 Pictures That Shocked The World
It has often been said throughout time that a picture is worth a thousand words. Any picture may be worth a thousand words, but only a few rare photos tell more than a thousand words. They tell a powerful story, a story poignant enough to change the world and galvanize each of us. Over and over again…
From the iconic images of Omayra Sanchez’s tragic death to the horrifying images of the Bhopal Gas disaster in 1984, the power of photography is still alive and invincible. Here is a top-10 list of photos that shocked the world:

PHILADELPHIA (September 12, 2011)
The Academy of Natural Sciences today announced the discovery of a new species of large predatory fish that prowled ancient North American waterways during the Devonian Period, before backboned animals existed on land.
Drs. Edward "Ted" Daeschler and Jason Downs of the Academy and colleagues from the University of Chicago and Harvard University describe the new denizen of the Devonian they named Laccognathus embryi in the current issue of the Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology.
