27 LOL Rules For Entering Texas

by Chris Monty

1. Pull your droopy pants up. You look like an idiot.

2. Let’s get this straight. We have one stoplight in town. We stop when it’s red. We may even stop when it’s yellow.

3. It’s called a ‘gravel road’. I drive a pickup truck because I need to.

7 Most Unhealthy Processed Foods You Need To Avoid

by Katy Leonard

Processed foods have the advantage of saving time and this makes them tempting to people who have a busy lifestyle and for those who don’t particularly like to cook. Most processed foods also come with a low price tag that is hard for many consumers to resist. However, at some point we really need to look at the hidden costs that processed foods have on our health. It is no secret by now that the vast majority of processed foods are not healthy. In general, they are very low in nutrients, especially micronutrients like antioxidants and vitamins, while simultaneously being high on calories. They also contain industrially engineered ingredients that can be very harmful to the human body. Eliminating all processed foods from your diet may be quite difficult. However, you can significantly improve your healthy by eliminating the worst of the processed foods. Below, you will find a list of the 7 most unhealthy processed foods.

7 Nuclear Weapon Screw-Ups You Won't Believe We Survived

By Eric Yosomono,  Dustin Koski,  Evan V. Symon

From the 1950s up through the early 1990s, the specter of nuclear war cast a shadow over the world like a giant, gloomy mushroom tattoo. Hollywood and our own morbid imaginations came up with any number of scenarios that would wipe out humanity in a series of blinding flashes: robots, Russian and American policies of mutually assured destruction. But Kubrick was probably closest when he imagined the nuclear era as a game of poker between cocky, absent-minded lunatics. Only he probably didn't go far enough. After all, he could have never imagined ...

Homemade Air Conditioner

Essentially what we’ll be doing is using the power of evaporative cooling and a fan to bring down the temperature in your room. In this case we’ll be using ice water stored in a cooler that will then cycle through a copper loop in front of a box fan. I’ll leave it to you to head to Wikipedia to read up on how the process works, it’s not unlike you sweating to cool down. As for myself, I’ve done enough sweating so I’ll let the air conditioner do it for me. (Note: this is the perfect project to do some scrounging and modify your design and tailor to whatever you may have on hand that would fulfill the same function).

13 Houses Made From Strange Building Materials

Houses are different. And if some of us are looking for more expensive, others decide to build a house for themselves ... and, out of scrap materials. All these houses are quite unusual, and all without exception are built from unusual materials.

Toddlers Kill More Americans Than Terrorists In 2013

Should the Feds put cameras in every house to make sure toddlers aren’t going to kill their playmates? Such absurd questions are raised by a study that says toddlers killed more Americans than terrorists in 2013. In the first part of this year, 11 people were killed by children aged three to six years old - more than the four people killed at the Boston Marathon bombing.

12 Largest Stadiums Of The World

A modern stadium is a place or venue for (mostly) outdoor sports, concerts, or other events and consists of a field or stage either partly or completely surrounded by a structure designed to allow spectators to stand or sit and view the event. Here is a list of, non-race, notable sports stadiums, ordered by their capacity, that is the maximum number of spectators they can normally accommodate.

Supersonic Biplane Has All the Speed And None Of The (Sonic) Boom

By Max Eddy

The trouble with supersonic travel is multifaceted: There’s the cost, the sound, the efficiency, and the sound - did we mention the sound? Sonic booms are, not surprisingly, incredibly loud, and what you may not know (I didn’t) is that aircraft traveling at such speeds are making that noise the entire time they’re flying. Perhaps it’s not surprising that supersonic flight has been banned over land, out of concern for people’s well being and worry over the sound damaging local wildlife. However, when it comes to reducing sonic booms, two wings are better than one.

Nearly 100 Workers Almost Drowned

Nearly 100 workers at the site of the Infinity Tower escaped death as excavation work on the 80-floor building was nearing completion. The incident happened as the workers were assisting the project owners and the piling contractor with the foundation works on site 20 meters below ground level.

9 Beautiful Minerals You Won’t Believe Are Found On Earth

We’ve all seen our fair share of rocks, and most of them aren’t that pretty. The ones that are though can be totally mind-blowing. Ryoji Tanaka, a Japanese photographer and chemist, likes to capture some of the most striking elements, minerals and compounds in close-up (like the Uranium-containing cuprosklodowskite you see above) and the results are crazy awesome.

Parking Fails

When will the law be enforced to all states to provide ample parkings on the streets? When will people finally learn how to park? As we shall see in the pictures below, not only women but men are equally bad drivers. We would wonder when machines will take over to park our cars. Anyhow, the sooner they come up with some ideas for parking we will have less of these images for viewing.

Scream And Shout- 10 Loudest Animals On Earth

10. Alligator
Even if they don't have vocal chords, alligators hiss, grunt, cough, growl and, most famously, bellow, the latter of which is preceded by an infrasonic signal that actually rolls along the water, causing it to vibrate or "dance." While the frequency is too low for humans to hear, it can travel great distances to reach potential mates.

Fishing In Africa

The natives fish with wicker basket instead of with spear or net. I marvel how the fishes can live in such muddy water.
