Silly Things To Do In An Elevator

Hey, c’mon, we’ve all been in this situation - crowded elevator car, eyes down on your shoes or up watching the counter light move. Surely we can have more fun than that. And yes, some of these gags have been in circulation for a while, yet while not all are entirely original, they are indeed good for a few laughs. Put on your silly hat for this one, envision it actually happening, or even better, picture yourself doing some of this stuff.
This is just a goofy list for fun  :-)

The World’s Dangerous Airport

Barra - an island in Scotland. There is one of the most dangerous airports in the world. The thing is that there are planes landing on the beach, right on the sand. At high tide these runways are under the sea - flight times vary with the tide. The aerodrome is not licensed for night use.

From Missing To Murdered Photo Gallery

Aliahna Lemmon
Aliahna Lemmon, 9, went missing Friday on December 23, 2011. She and her sisters had been staying with neighbor/family friend Mike Plumadore, 39, while her mother, Tarah Souders, 28, recovered from the flu. Souder told police that Aliahna, who was hard of hearing and had Attention Deficit Disorder, needed supervision that her husband, who worked nights and slept during the day, was unable to provide. Plumadore, who had watched the children before, was the one who called to report Aliahna as missing. Police were concerned because there were 15 registered sex offenders living in the area where the girl had disappeared. On Monday, sadly, police found Aliahna's body and arrested Plumadore, whom they had already interviewed several times. He allegedly confessed to beating her to death with a brick, and then dismembering her body. He stored her head, hands and feet in his freezer, and dumped the rest of her remains in garbage bags. Though Plumadore has a police record in Florida, it does not include sex offenses. No motive has been established for the murder.

Chanel LED Shoes Light Up The Fall 2011/12 Couture Show

Karl Lagerfeld is not stranger to technology if we all think back to his pre-fall 2008 lightbulb shoe, which has undoubtedly inspired his footwear for the Chanel Couture fall 2011/12 show. The couture collection, debuted earlier this month at the fabulous Grand Palais in Paris, centred on a night time theme. The show was, rather unusually, held at 10pm and the Grand Palais was decorated black with old fashioned street lamps and and twinkling stars.

SIM-LEI EV Has A 300-km Range

If you were one of the people who were hoping to turn some heads when you drove your Aptera down the street, well ... you may still get your chance to own a truly eye-catching electric car. SIM-Drive, a collaborative of 34 Japanese tech companies and institutions, presented its SIM-LEI prototype EV at the 2011 Electric Vehicle Industrial Exhibition late last year. While you probably either love or hate its looks, there's one thing about it that everyone should like - it can reportedly go about 305 kilometers (189.5 miles) on one charge of its battery, traveling at a constant speed of 100 km/h (62 mph).

Weird But Cool Inventions

Le Whif
Wants to have a cigarette filled with caffeine? *no nicotine, just coffee*. Le Whif is a product by Harvard Professor; it is an inhalable product, which can be very helpful in situations like, all nighters, too much coffee already in your stomach, hangovers. Now you won’t have to wait in line for your coffee, no waiting for your machine to make coffee, no waiting for re-heating it in microwave, etc. Le Whif is a ‘lipstick’ style container, which you pull open, insert in your mouth and inhale. One dose is equivalent to 1 shot of espresso *100 mg of caffeine*

5 Strangest Deaths Of All Time

Life is full of the weird, the wonderful and the outrageous. People often overlook the fact that death can come in many forms. Here are a few of the strangest deaths that have occurred through the ages.

Molière
Born in 1622, the Fench actor and playwright Jean Baptiste Poquelin, better known by his stage name, Molière, was considered a giant of the comedy genre. Famed for his farces, Molière was a hero of the stage and, despite falling foul of certain religious groups, enjoyed immense popularity in his lifetime. (The King of France even agreed to be the godfather to his son!)
Unfortunately for him, he died the way he lived - being laughed at. The end came during a performance of his last play Le Malade Imaginaire, normally translated in English as The Hypchondriac.
Whilst he was treading the boards in the titular role, acting out to be someone pretending to be ill, he was struck by a very real fit of coughing and haemorrhaging and promptly died. Obviously, nobody moved to help him, putting the fit’s uncanny authenticity down to the craft of a master thespian, rather than pulmonary tuberculosis.

Thai Recipe : Son-In-Law Eggs

This past weekend, our neighborhood Ralph was giving away free eggs–a carton of 18 large eggs. Being the cheapo shopper that I am, I didn’t pass up the opportunity, of course. I have always loved eggs and I do shop at Ralph, plus more eggs mean I can experiment with some baking and make my favorite egg dishes such as the Malaysian Sweet and Sour Eggs, and Shrimp Omelet.

Charged With Murder But He Can't Stop Stabbing His Lawyers

We're not sure if stabbing lawyers should be considered a crime - or merely a thoughtful act of community service. But it seems the barristers of Everett, Washington are getting a little tired of being attacked by 27-year-old accused killer Joshua Monson...

He's charged with the January shooting death of Brian Jones. Now he's having a little difficulty maintaining his courtroom decorum.
