NASA’s Single-Crewed Electric Stealth Plane

NASA has unveiled details about its one-man ‘Puffin’ that is powered by electric motors.
The Puffin is created as a stealth plane for a single pilot to be transported in it. It reminds me to a some kind of jet pack with a pilot cockpit.
NASA announced that this little aircraft can reach a speed of 240 km/h. Its range is about 80 km and it can go up to 9 kilometers in height. This aircraft weights about 180 kilograms, including lithium phosphate batteries.

Top 5 Rarest Cats

The 21st century is marked not only by new technologies but also by an ever growing number of extinct and endangered animals. Take a look at the rarest animals in the world!

The Maltese Tiger

The Blue tiger was reported mostly from the Fujian Province of China, being characterized by a bluish fur with dark stripes. The Maltese tigers have been reported as a subspecies of the South Chinese tiger, that is critically endangered. A blue tiger cub was born in 1964, in the Oklahoma Zoo, but died in its infancy. There are no blue tigers in zoos or private collections, and no known blue tiger pelts.

5 Intelligent Factors To Compare LED vs LCD TVs

Which one to choose between a LED and LCD television? We will analyse here the pros and cons amidst a never ending war. In the 21st century, there are quite literally hundreds of different LCD TVs you can buy. With the advancements that have been made in backlighting, LED TVs have started to emerge. Many new companies have started to take part in the war. However, there are pros and cons of each.

Dimensions
In terms of size, LCD TVs are usually much bigger. The largest LED is only 80 inches whereas the largest LCD is 108 inches. However, it is not just viewing angles that are looked at in the 21st century. With the improvements in LED technology, LED TVs may not be as big but are definitely thinner than LCD counterparts. Edge-lit LED TVs have become the thinnest displays available on the market outing the 2.6mm fine LCD. The edge-lit backlighting enables the LED to produce a spectrum of vivid colors and in such a thin frame.

4 Hidden Resume Mistakes That Will Cost You The Job

Most employers will tell you that job seekers routinely make obvious, painful errors on their resumes that cost them the job. And while there are online tools that will help you avoid making some of these mistakes, such as punctuation errors, most tools won't catch these four major blunders.

Subjective Text:
When you fill your resume with lavish self-praise, like "dedicated self-starter," "exceptional communication skills," and "hard-working professional," you're just stating your own opinion. This kind of language is like nails on a chalkboard to recruiters. Why? You're not stating facts. Don't tell them how you see yourself. Prove it by listing quantifiable accomplishments. Let the recruiter decide if you're actually a self-starter.

Deadly Diamonds And Cursed Crowns

The legends and myths (and the curses!) associated with the most famous jewels in history.

Hope Diamond
The Hope Diamond, named for its 19th century owners, is arguably the best-known diamond in the world. It’s widely believed what became the Hope Diamond was cut from a 115-carat blue diamond sold to King Louis XIV from a mine in India . Legend has it that death and misfortune plague the diamond’s owner, claiming notable figures such as Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette along with many jewelers and socialites. Most of the stories surrounding supposed owners of the diamond have been proven historically inaccurate. The 45.42-carat diamond currently resides in the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History.

Learn A Word A Day - UP

Think about it.
A two-letter word with many meanings: UP

Read until the end.....you' ll laugh....

This two-letter word in English has more meanings than any other two-letter word, and that word is 'UP.' It is listed in the dictionary as an [adv], [prep], [adj], [n] or [v].It's easy to understand UP, meaning toward the sky or at the top of the list, but when we awaken in the morning, why do we wake UP?

At a meeting, why does a topic come UP? Why do we speak UP, and why are the officers UP for election and why is it UP to the secretary to write UP a report? We call UP our friends, brighten UP a room, polish UP the silver, warm UP the leftovers and clean UP the kitchen. We lock UP the house and fix UP the old car.

Daddy, It Hurts....

At least 5 children each day from around the world die from child abuse! The following is supposedly to be a true story. If you're against child abuse, please pass on the message to others...

My name is Chris
I am three
My eyes are swollen..
I cannot see.
I must be stupid
I must be bad
What else could have made
My daddy so mad?
I wish I were better
I wish I weren't ugly
Then maybe my Mommy
Would still want to hug me.
I can't do a wrong
I can't speak at all
Or else I'm locked up
All day long.

Three Fashion Mistakes that Make Man Look Like a Douchebag

by Natasha Abrahams

Women understand when men fail at dressing fashionably. Men aren’t groomed to dress with style the way women are, so we sympathize when you accidentally wear a graphic T-shirt best suited to someone a few years younger, or when you load up too much on gaudy accessories. You can always plead ignorance. But there are a few fashion crimes so horrible that they are beyond forgiveness.

Best Current Free Lamp Light for Camping

For those people who like camping, one of the most disturbing thing may be the limited lighting. Designer Luis Ribeiro had designed a current free lamp light which is perfect for camping. It’s made up of three different tubes, two of which have white LED lights at the ends. Each structure can be rotated 360 degrees to generate power for charging. Within the conjoining part, charging station, there’s a rechargeable battery incorporated. Because of the low power consumption of LEDs, one minute of charging can provide 45 minutes of lighting time.

Watch Powered By Wind

When your watch starts to lose time because it needs to be wound, or because the battery is dying, you’re going to be late for a bunch of meetings and family functions. It could have been avoided if you had a watch that runs on wind energy. Just blow at your watch and it will display the accurate time on its icy blue display. This watch uses wind to produce just enough energy to display the time, and then the screen goes dark, but the watch continues keeping time for you. You might look silly blowing into your watch, but who cares? It keeps time and it looks awesome. Thats the Eole, an interactive watch designed by Julien Moise.

10 Strange Places Where People Live

1. XUANKONG SI – CHINA
According to my knowledge there are five holly mountains in China and Heng shan or Mt.Hengis one among them that is located in the province of Shanxi. Overlooking the wooded Golden Dragon river also called as Jinlong he and close to the base of Mt.Hengis Xuankong Si, the meaning of this word is Monastery in Mid Air. People of China call it as Hanging Moastery. It was built in 491 AD and it still attaches to the side of the mountain, it has been built using techniques of engineering that are still of important interest to the architects of today. First, the horizontal shafts were cut into the side of the mountain to act as anchor points.

The Benefits of 5 Common Pests

by Ben Dennison

Pests - can’t live with them, can’t live without them. This old adage couldn’t be truer than with insects, as illustrated by these five examples:

1. Fire Ants
Also known as the surly assholes of the insect world, fire ants are a plague in the southern and western areas of the United States. Notoriously aggressive and capable of a painful sting, fire ants are also very difficult to kill. Once a mound and colony is constructed, even commercial remedies fail to kill more than a handful of workers ants and leave the queen entirely untouched. When faced with the slaughter of their comrades, the remaining ants will simply abandon their current home and move somewhere else nearby. And if you’re thinking you can drown them, I’ve got some bad news for you.
No one wants to see fire ants go more than farmers. Mounds often destroy equipment, and did we mention they were aggressive… like swarm and kill children aggressive?

Why We Need Them: If farmers were somehow able to rid their property of fire ants, they also might as well be throwing money out an open window. That’s because fire ants are great predators that regularly suppress other, greater pests that destroy crops. In fact, fire ants are among the most abundant predators of plant-feeding insects in their territory. Fire ant populations are capable of protecting corn, soybean, cotton and peanut crops.
A tiny Terminator.
Of course, it’s also true that fire ants feed on insects that are beneficial to the same crops (such as wasps and the awesomely named “assassin bug”). But you have to expect these sorts of things with vigilantes. Fire ants aren’t the savior American farmlands deserve, but they are the savior they need.
