Polyphony Digital, Inc., an internal video game developing company of Sony Computer Entertainment has released a video of the FT-86 II Concept for the Gran Turismo 5 video game.
Though this is just a computer generated video it is so realistic that it would make you believe that it is the real FT-86 II Concept in action. This is just a glimpse on how this rear-wheel-drive sports car drives on the street and according to Toyota, the FT-86 II you see here will look as close as the production model.
Toyota FT-86 II Concept is an evolution of the FT-86 concept that was first introduced at the 2009 Tokyo Auto Show and is developed in cooperation with Subaru. FT-86 Concept will be using a free-revving boxer gasoline engine with a compact and lightweight 6-speed manual transmission and a low center of gravity to achieve the best possible power to weight ratio.
Toyota FT-86 II will hit US market in 2012 where it will be marketed as a Scion with price ranges around $25,000.
